So North Korea and China don't have movements calling for boycotts of their own governments?

They also have far more opressive laws, police and infinitely less access to the press.

If we punish those who have granted the freedom to appeal to the outside world. And ignore those who do not have that freedom.

Then are we not a slightly more sophisticated version of the Big Brother audience, howling at what we can see on our TV screens?

Yes, Progressive Zionist, just as it was about discriminating against white South Africans during apartheid...! It is a funny thing you Zionists do; you affirm anti-Semitic notions of Jewish "otherness", lure the Jews into their death trap of a Nation-State, and then cry wolf! When will you open your eyes?

The boycott only helps to perpetuate the conflict. Is empowers extremists like Hamas and the Israeli far-right. It makes the plight of the average Palestinian on the street worse than it already is.

"It is time to realize that it is not the Israeli who is targeted by BDS, but the Israeli government and Israeli institutions that collaborate in the occupation of the Palestinians, and degrade and demonize them."

Rubbish. BDS does not target Israeli government officials, it targets ordinary Israelis - farmers, football players, musicians, academics, artists etc. BDS is about discriminating against Israeli Jews.

BDS is a fine tactic, I'm in favor of it, but I think we should have no illusions about its obvious limitations. Namely, that any revolution - which, in this case, can only mean the decisive defeat of Zionism - must necessarily come from the struggle of the oppressed nation. Raising awareness of the ethnic cleansing is a worthy cause, but ultimately there is only so much progress that can come at the hands of some benevolent international bourgeois liberals divesting their capital from Israeli enterprises. So it's a decent tactic that can help supplement the struggle of the Palestinian masses, but it is clearly not the be-all end-all of Zionism/ethnic cleansing in Palestine.
