I read a transcript of a lecture he gave last week or the week before - I can't remember where - but he freely admits that the book is all opinion and not based on any evidence that he has evaluated. The biggest issue I have is that he refuses to acknowledge the DNA evidence which does seem to indicate that genetically Jews and the Jewish population of Israel, from where ever in the world (other than Ethiopia) have more similarities with each other than with the host communities. Since he won't answer that question, I can't be bothered reading his book. Or maybe it's another one. Doesn't matter, this one's great. Speaking of the White-European-Male-Hetero devil, happened to bump into him last night in the ICA bookshop: he was wearing a t-shirt the colour and texture of a wet-dishcloth, shvitzing and gabbling to someone about something not even that person who'd asked him the question was interested in.
