jewdas.org – currently running version 2.0
The jewdas.org project:
We’ve got a lot of ideas for this website. Where are they all? Well even though our weekend hobbies include hacking into government archives to find out just where are these World Zionist Council parties that we never get invited to (so far we’ve narrowed it down to [SNIP]), some of them require a few more internet lunch n’ learn sessions before we get em on the table. Anyway, we’ve come a long way and here we are with…
2.0
We’re proud to announce the release of our new website – Jewdas 2.0! On this page you will find information about this update and about our future ideas, plots and schemes. If you have more ideas then give us a shout! We see this as an organic project, growing over time.
features included:
- WordPress.org 2.8 based Content Management System. What does that mean? Instead of needing a master knot-untie-er to add new content like our old site, now we can put new content up really really easily. There are loads of cool gizmos and add ons which the WordPress site can do for us which we list below. Thank you WordPress! Jew love!
- New writers, we want this to be a hub for the radical diaspora as well as for our own ideas, so we’re scouring the world for interesting contributors. Interested?
- Discussion forum courtesy of Simple Press Forums
- A pop up music player, courtesy of XSPF Music Player. If you are or know of an artist who would be suitable for our jukebox then give as an email.
- New adverts.
- Heroes section, randomly chosen photos and biogs of some of our BF4Ls.
- About us section. The mystery behind mastermind Geoffrey Cohen revealed…
- events section.
- Calendar. So that we can highlight cool events – ours and others’ – as well as know when the next festival hits us.
Future versions:
- Multilingualism. So that we can host Yiddish, Ivris and other language translations and original content. Interested in writing in something other than the planet’s majority language?
- Radical resources section, we hope that this will be a useful place to find out about all the kinds of things were never taught at cheider.
- A revolution button. The idea is that if pressed, it’ll throw you into the streets with a kabbalistic rune and a molotov cocktail, or something, I dunno, we’re working on it.
Keep in touch!
